empties #13

Hey everyone!
Like I mentioned in the previous post, I had so many things to throw away or had spent, that I will have a few Empties post (almost) in a row. This post is a lot of Avon oriented and I apologize if you expect some diversity :(

Skin So Soft Dual Oil Spray by Avon

This product turned out to be a really nice one. It smelled really soft and when applied it made my skin really soft. I guess it really lives up to its name. You have to shake it up a bit, because it is a bi-phased oil product. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it tastes really bad. And before you think I consume my beauty products, it accidentally got on my tongue while I was applying it and it was horrible. I already repurchased another one and I'll try not to taste it this time :)

Vanilla Body Whip by Avon

I love, love, love vanilla scented stuff. Except this one. But not because of the scent. I just didn't like the texture too much. It left a sticky residue on my skin that seemed to linger on for a while.

Foot Works Deep Moisture Cream by Avon

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm not really into foot cremes. I'm either too lazy to apply them or just simply forget until their best before date is over. This one smelled really nice and made my feet really warm and tingly, which helped during the winter days, but I did only apply it a few times and ended up throwing it out in the end.

Shea Butter Foot and Elbow Cream with AHA by Avon

This is yet another foot cream, but in reality I used it for my epically dry elbows and sometimes even hands. I found it really helpful during springtime when I got some bumps caused by allergies or whatnot. And, it smells divine. So, overall it's a pretty nifty cream to own if you're prone to dry skin and you don't have to use it on your feet.

Dead Sea Minerals Hand Cream by Avon

Threw it away because couldn't stand the scent. So nauseating.

Bi-Phase Oil Make Up Remover by Alverde

This is another repurchased product and I don't normally post about (other than the second bottle of Seche Vite last time), but I did this time because my opinion kind of changed about this product. I started to hate the scent and the fact that I had to wash my face after removing my make up made me hate it even more because I'm lazy and I just really can't wait to go to bed after a long day at uni or after going out.

swatches: divine lux

Hello everyone!
Today I'm going to show you a couple of swatches of the Divine Lux nail polishes that appeared on the shelves of my local drugstore. The brand is very cheap and one that I haven't really heard of until recently and, naturally, I wanted to give them a go.

Divine Lux 229 is a bright teal creme polish. It's almost fully opaque in one coat, but you need another one just to smooth it a bit and get rid of any streak marks. I love these kinds of polishes. The only downside to it is that it took a bit longer to dry, but nothing a little bit of quick drying top coat can't fix.

Divine Lux 247 is a really bright candy red. It really reminds me of the color that they use to dye red candy. It's one of my latest favorites. One coat for the photo.

Divine Lux 290 is a deep green with tons of silver and green shimmer/flecks. It's one of the most gorgeous polishes that I have, but its formula is really thick and so hard to apply. It's nothing like the previous two polishes and I'm wondering if I just got a bad bottle or maybe it's because of the flecks.

swatches: golden rose

Hey everyone!
Today I'll show you swatches from five new Golden Rose polishes that I got recently.

First off is Golden Rose Rich Color 14. This one is sort of a fuchsia, but not too bright as it tends to be. I don't know if deep fuchsia is a color, but it is now and that's what I think of this polish. I needed a single coat for the swatch, it has great opacity and applies really smoothly. Creme finish.

Golden Rose Rich Color 37 is a slightly muted orange creme. I'd say that this one is a typical orange color, the type that you'd get if you're starting your collection and you want to have each of every color :) Two coats for the photo. Even though it's a creme like 14 it dries shinier.

Golden Rose Rich Color 63 is a bright pink creme. Its formula is the same as 37 and it needed two coats to get fully opaque. It did look a bit brighter when I photographed it and my camera went a bit nuts as it does with brighter shades.

Golden Rose Color Expert 60 is a black creme polish. It is a bit sheer and not completely opaque in one coat. Not my favorite black polish because I do like more opaque ones. It is a bit streaky, too.

Golden Rose Color Expert 69 is a warm gold foil. I haven't tried stamping with it, but I imagine it will do well. Opaque in 2 coats.

empties #12

Hey everyone!
Today I'm back with another bunch of emptied products, some of these were long gone, but I had to get to work and tidy up my cosmetics drawer in order to check what's good or not and see how many products there are. Also, since I did a bit of a room reorganization I had to find a new spot where I could photograph the products without them looking bad. Without further ado, here are the empties for today...

50's Forever Hand Cream by Balea

This special edition hand cream was the bomb. Never in my life have I finished a hand cream so fast. First of all, the scent is gorgeous - a light cherry note, not too overwhelming and really refreshing. It made my hands really soft and got absorbed really fast. I would repurchase it a million times if it wasn't sold out every time I visited dm, so I ended up not buying another one. A thing worth mentioning is that it is a bit expensive for the size.

Dead Sea Minerals Foot Cream by Avon

I don't really have much to say about this product. I used it once or twice, hated the scent and didn't use it any further. I'm not really into foot cremes. The best before date had passed, so it had to go :)

Face Cleansing Tonic by Balea

I kind of had a love-hate thing going on with this product. On one side, it really cleansed my face from all the dirty stuff (especially during the winter when we had plenty of fog), but on the other side I really hated it because it left a sticky residue on my face no matter the amount I used. The scent was pretty refreshing, so I guess that's another positive side. Probably wouldn't repurchase though.

Face Cleansing Mask by Alverde

I think that this one had clay in it. I'm not sure, but am I glad that I got this travel sized package. It smelled awful. I liked what it did to my face, but the scent is just appalling.

Essence Quick Dry Top Coat

This one was one of my most used top coats in the beginning of my "nail career". Overall, it's a pretty good top coat if you're looking for something that dries pretty quickly. The one thing I didn't really like about this one is that it applies very thinly and you have to add 2-3 coats to get it really smooth.

Seche Vite

I won't blabber about how I freaking love Seche Vite, because I've already done it once. I'm just adding this here because I finished my second bottle :)

no more april challenge

Hey everyone!

This is just a quick post to announce that unfortunately, I won't be continuing with the April Challenge. I had a few exams and got really sick in the meantime and I just feel like I need to take a break from pretty much everything and lie in bed. Doing nails is really hard for me when I'm sick and I'll probably miss lots of the themes which isn't the purpose of the challenge.
I will be posting some stuff once I feel better, I have a few Empties posts ready :)
Thanks for understanding!

april challenge: easter

Hey everyone!
First of all, Happy Easter to all of my Catholic friends and followers. I hope you have a great time if you celebrate.

Today's theme is Easter. The first thing I thought to create about this theme was your usual bunnies and pastel stuff, but after doing a little searching for inspiration I found a photo of traditional Ukranian Easter eggs and absolutely loved how they use darker colors  as opposed to the usual pastel in order to create gorgeous looking eggs.

Used products:
• Gabirini Elegant 325
• Kleancolor Blue Eyed Girl
• Flormar 392
• BK 16
• Gosh Cobalt Blue
• Catherine Arley 674
• Essence Midnight Date

A few close ups of the designs.

april challenge: pastel

Hey everyone!
Once again I decided to start yet another challenge, this time for the month of April and it has plenty of colorful and springy themes and I'm really excited to do it.

Today's theme is Pastel. I absolutely love everything and anything pastel and that meant not being able to decide what to do for today's theme. In the end I decided to do a pastel galaxy print, which surprisingly I've never done before.

Used products:
• Gosh Baby Blue (light blue)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 14 (plum)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 44 (teal)
• Essence Ballerina's Charm (muted lavender)
• Gabrini Elegant 352 (light blue)
• OPI You're Such A Budapest (lavender)
• Golden Rose Color Expert 02 (white)
• Born Pretty Holo 9 (lavender holo)

And here's a quick tutorial I did for you guys :)
